Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio

seller liability after sale of RV

I sold a 12 y/o camper. I winterized the camper myself as I have done for 9 years. When buyer questioned, I told the buyer I had done the winterizing myself. I am not a service technician. 3 weeks after the sale the waterheater broke and got carpet wet. Buyer now wants $3000 for replacing waterheater and carpet stating I misrepresented the winterizing of the camper. I had done the winterizing to the best of my knowledge.

You may be sued, because it looks bad from his view, but he would have to show that you knew about a defect, an withheld it from him. You would testify, and if believed, you would win. It's your credibility on the line.
