Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

I am due to be in court on monday. For almost 4 years now I have tried to get this creditor to work with me. I sent letter in regards to my loss of employment, I sent them proof that I did not have a job and my enrollment into college. I am not sure how to handle this situation. I have never had to go to court. I would like to know how best to handle this since I can not afford an attorney.
