Re: enforcement of judgment

In Florida, any judgment creditor has the right to get a writ of execution and instruct the sheriff to seize and sell assets to satisfy the judgment, or to get a writ of garnishment and attach bank accounts if the judgment debtor does not appear to have sufficient tangible assets to satisfy the judgment. A Florida resident can assert exemptions to the seziure of many sorts of property, including a homestead. It's important for anyone who is served with a writ of garnishment or execution to contact a lawyer.
