lease agreements

hello, my name is jason and I rented a computer from one of those rent to own places....(Aarrons) I was liad of about two months ago and havent been able to make any payments..I also sold the laptop so I wouldnt get evicted and so I could buy groceries. they keep calling me threatening to have me put in prison for theft and now they say there going to garnish my wages when they get a judgement. Which is it and is there anything I can do?

You sold property that did not belong to you, and they could file a police report to that effect. If the property is worth $500 or more, it could be grand theft. If they don't go that way, you are liable for the remainder of the contract, and they can get a judgment against you for that, and garnish your wages. You need to keep making some sort of payments to them, or file bankruptcy.
