Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Time limit on small claim court suite

My dad passed away 5/13/2003 I was left as executor. I paid a 1800.00 dollar ins. premium for my step mother to help her out at the time and gave her other things with the understanding that she wood abide by dads will and not elect against his wishes. But after this verbal agreement was made she went back on her word. So my question is can I file a claim to recover my cost for her ins. that I paid and if so is there a time limit as to when I can file?

Re: Time limit on small claim court suite

Yes, you can recover the insurance payment, although you must prove the circumstances of the transaction to recover. You have two years from the date of your payment to sue her.
