criminal trespassing

a person entered a business without permission and vandalized property - what is the usual penalty for this type of criminal trespassing and vandalism

If charged under the Ohio Revised Code (2911.21), criminal trespass is a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. Generally, an "M4" is punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $250 fine.

If charged under the Ohio Revised code (2909.05),vandalism is a felony of the fourth or fifth degree depending on the monetary value of the amount of damage alleged to have occurred. Generally, an "F4" is punishable by up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000.00 fine, and an "F5" is punishable by up to 12 months in prison and a $2,500.00 fine.
