Ohio DUI Sentences & Fines

I'm charged with DUI & Failure to Control offenses in Ohio. What are the fines and sentences for these violations?

Ohio DUI sentences and fines

A 1st offense DUI in Ohio carries no less than 3 nor more than 180 days in jail and no less than $200 nor more than $1,000 fine and the minimum 3 days which may be suspended for 3 days of treatment in an approved alcohol education center. In addition there is a driver license suspension of not less than 60 nor more that 365 days. If you were uninsured, there is a 90-day driver license suspension.

A 2nd offense in 6 years carries no less than 10 nor more than 180 days and a fine of not less than $300 nor more than $1,500 plus 90-day immobilization of the vehicle which was driven UI.

And penalties increase for subsequent convictions.

Failure to Control is a minor misdemeanor which carries a maximum fine of $100.00. Generally, whenever someone pleads Guilty or No Contest to the DUI, the Failure to Control is dismissed.
