Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Road Rage Assault

A girl was behind me honking her horn and would not quit so I turned and flipped her off. She got out of her car and came up to my driver's side window and punched me a couple of times before my husband came out of the house. I found out the this person only lives a few houses down from me and I wanted to know how long I have before I would not be able to press charges? We were trying to work it out ''neighborly'' but they continue to drive by and appear to be trying to intimidate us. She is 16 and I am 21. I'm not afraid for me but I do have a small child and don't want any drama. Would it be better to press charges and get it on the record. I was told that I would be charged with disorderly conduct. Thanks.....

Re: Road Rage Assault

If she hit you, she would be charged with assault, much more serious than disorderly conduct.

If she then tried to intimidate you, she would be charged with a felony. You can also sue her for the assault for money damages. Feel free to contact me directly.
