Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Teacher assault on a minor. My 14 year old son was in lunch when a teacher told him to pick up jello off the floor that wasn't his. He did it anyway and came back to his table when the guy saw more jello on the floor, picked it up and shoved it on his shirt. Then he grabbed him hard on the shoulders and shook him till he was crying in front of the whole lunchroom of 7 and 8th graders. I called the principal and the superintendent and they both said he got a letter in his file. Should I press charges?

You may have a case against both the individual teacher and the school system itself. There is an immunity problem that I would have to research to be sure. If you wish, contact me and I would be willing to review the issue and maybe take on the case on a contingency basis (i.e. my fee comes ouut of the settlement, no upfront fees to you). Initial consultation is free.
