Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Ohio

Was my daughter violated?

My daughter is bi-racial (1/2 black 1/2 white) and was called a NIGGER during an arguement. At the time there was an officer there for other reasons. She brought it to the officer's attention and he told her to go home. Is there a violation involved? By the name-caller and/or officer?

Re: Was my daughter violated?

If by violation, you mean a violation of the law, the answer is no. It is generally not against the law to call someone names, use racial slurs or hurt someone's feelings.
