Companion charges

A friend of my had a DUI, his attorney attempted to get the charges lower, however the prosecutor who only dismissed the companion charges if he pled quilty. What are companion charges??

Companion charges for a DUI are usually whatever this person was pulled over for in the first place, like speeding or weaving. They are whatever else the police officer found illegal at the time.

That's a very common plea bargain.
