Legal Question in Elder Law in Ohio

Elderly Alz sufferer being taken advantage of

I met an alz sufferer and a neighbor is trying to take his property and put him in a nursing home. She had poa but we got it revoked. Alz patient has a lawyer that recently took over his case after his long term lawyer retired.Caught woman at bank trying to access his safety deposit box without his consent, she had a poa at the time. Contacted distant relatives and they seem hesitant to get involved. Now they are trying to convince him to sell his property to them. They have gotten rid of his vehicle and the other doesnt run so they bring his food to him. Found out from relatives that Alz patient is wealthy and has property worth alot of money. How can I assure Alz patient gets fair treatment? He does not want to leave his property but does need help.I have told him about assisted living that he can afford before they steal him blind, HELP.

I think you need to talk to the patients attorney to see what steps he or she can take to protect him. The attorney may be able to get a restrianing order to keep the neighbor away.

You may also want to contact adult protective services in the county.
