child support payments

i am getting a divorce. i have twin boys. 2 months ago the place where i worked closed. i have found another job in the dame field which pays less an not near the overtime i got at the other job. her lawyer said they use last year tax return is there any way the courts will take my current salary an use that as the base? thanks david

Of course, the Court could take your most recent source of income to determine child support. Using the last years tax return is only one method to determine the income for child support.
