Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Child Support Use

My ex wife misuses the child support money that she receives. She has not paid rent for several years, none of her utility bills are up to date, the house is a mess, the kids don't eat properly, and their clothes are always dirty and don't fit. I am taking her back to court soon to revise visitation. Is there anything that can be done to mandate that she spend the child support on necessities for the kids rather than her school and cigarettes?

Re: Child Support Use

The best thing to do would be to ask for cusody of your children. Then you know the money is used for your children. The Court will not dictate what she spends the money on, but if she is not providing properly for the children, there may be some abuse or neglect which the authorities may want to inquire.
