Divorce: Inheritance
My father wishes to make me the beneficiary of his pension in the event of his death. I am about to file for legal seperation and plan on filing for dissolution of my marriage in June. Can my spouse (ex-spouse) make a claim on my fathers pension once I am receiving it?

In Ohio, inheritances are not marital assets. Be sure that the funds are kept separate and not commingled with marital property.

No. An inheritance is considered separate property.
