Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Dower Rights

I have been separated from my husband for 5 years (not legally). About a year after the separation and our house had been sold, equity divided mutually etc.. I bought a home on my own-deed in my name, insurance, taxes etc.. He has no interest in it at all. I want to sell it now but am told he has to sign off on MY title which he was never on and could get half since we're still married is this true? If so other than a divorce how can I clear the title - he won't sign off on his dower rights - he wants money.

Re: Dower Rights

If he won't waive his dower rights, then you will need to seek a divorce or at least a legal separation.
