Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

The father of child for emergency custody of our child. It was denied but the court papers I received says that I have temporary custody and he has visitation. We don't actually go to court until April 3rd. He has a history of domestic violence with me and has hit our child. He also previous domestic violence charges against him from previous relationships. I dont feel my kid is safe with him alone. Do I have to allow visitation before we go to court

In Ohio, if the Court has made orders for you to give the other parent visitation at a certain time and place, then you must obey the order or put in a motion for the Court to reconsider its previous decision granting that visitation (usually these have to be based upon some new evidence that the Court had not considered in coming to its most recent decision).

Sometimes, the Court will refer to "standardized visitation" for the non custodial parent. The entry will not have that schedule, but there will be an online form on the Court's website that describes what that is.
