Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

grandchild custody

My son and his girlfriend have a 7 month baby. Neither parent is stable or responsible and have recently signed a guardianship form that I composed myself, giving my husband and I guardianship. Can I use this form as a basis to file for temporary custody? If the parents agree can we just file an agreed entry for custody? Where do I start?

Re: grandchild custody

A guardianship is established in Probate Court. Custody of the minor child is established in the Juvenile Court. If all parties agree you can file for custody in Juvenile Court. I did this for a client when Childrens Servises Board threatened to take the child away.
