Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Hyphen in the Last name

Hello, I would like to know if there are any legal rights or anything my my ex-girl friend would gain if I were to agree to have my daugthers last name hypenated. Right now she has my last name and I had fought really hard to even receive standard visitation rights. I kind of feel like she is slowly trying to take every association with me away and I'm wondering if I shoudn't agree to this and fight this. If she would be gaining anything legally, I will fight this. Plus she is getting married shortly and who knows if she is even going to keep her last name. I just do not want my daughter to be confused by her huge last name and which one she should use. Thank you for your time.

I don't believe there would be any legal consequences. It sounds to me that if you allow this to happen, it may cause you mental anguish in the future, for that reason I suggest you fight it.
