Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

interference with child custody

In short, my ex-husband and I share custody of our 2 boys. However, for the last 3 years he has kept them from me. I moved out of state a year ago, but tried to get help in Ohio, but was told I had to have an attorney to fight him in court, and that's all that I could do. I was also told that I didn't qualify for legal aide, even though I was not able to work due to several severe health problems. I just don't know what to do. No one will help me and I want my rights to my children back. How can he get away with this????

Re: interference with child custody

It seems as though you could use the help of an attorney. Did you try to approach your local Legal Aid office yourself, or did you take the advice of a third party? If it's the latter, try talking to Legal Aid. Also, there may be a clinic at a local law school that could be of assistance.
