Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

The mother of my daughter is asking me to let her husband legally adopt my daughter so that he is able to make basic decisions for her care legally. I told her that I would consent to a legal guardianship, but I would not sign over my rights as her father and adoption is out of the question. She told me that legal guardianship of a minor is no longer an option in the state of Ohio. Is this true? If so, what are my options to keep my legal rights regarding my daughter, but allow my daughters step-father the ability to make basic decisions on her care?
