Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

shared parenting

I gave the father of my son joint custody and let my son go live with him last year. Last night I was informed that he plans to move him out of state. Can he do this without my permission?

Re: shared parenting

The father should fle a motion to modify shared parenting to get permission to move out of state. You would need to be served with the motion, and could contest them leaving. Alternatively, you could attempt to negotiate a schedule with the fateher, and if an agreement is reached, the agreement shold be incorporated in an order of court.
