Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Support

My husband threw me out for what reason I have no idea, last January and I came from FL to OH. He did not come up for the support hearing and it didn't go his way, so he hired an OH attorney who told him to pay me NOTHING for now. We've been married 33 years. Is this allowed, just to cut your wife off?

Re: Support

If "nothing for now" means that you are receiving no support while you are awaiting your court dates, this is possible. Your husband can be stalling. You can be asking the court for temporary spousal support in the meantime. Having been married to your spouse for as long as you have been, you should be entitled to retroactive spousal support once the divorce is final.
