Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

About visitation of a non-custodial, non-support, absent father

Hi, I hope you can help me with this one. I am a single mother of two little girls,7&4, I have custody of them, I have a support order, but haven't received any support so far this year, and the last ''scheduled'' visitation day or the last time the father even asked for them was in Jan. So, my question is now, several months later, he wants me to rearrange our life so he can take them for the day, but I'm worried, since it's been such a long time. Should I let this ''day'' take place or should I be catious? Do I have the right to ask for a ''home visit'' of him and the children, like a get re-aquainted type thing? Should I ask for money? Please help!!

Sincerely,LKD

I believe that you have the right to ease your way into visitation after an absence. I think that your ex should be required to abide by the regular schedule for some time until having a substantial deviation.
