Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

payment issues with babysitter

I had a family member babysit my children for a month two years ago. She was paid in full and now is sending me notices saying I owe her 750.00 and if she is not paid, she will take me to small claims court. She was paid mostly in cash, I believe once in check. We had no type of contract or agreement. She babysat for a month and the total of 750.00 is absurd and she was paid in full. Does she have a claim and how can I stop her harassment?

Re: payment issues with babysitter

Her testimony of her service will suffice in the absence of a contract. Then, it will be her word vs yours as to how much you paid and how much you agreed.
