Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Small Claims Court with an ex roommate

I lived with my ex-friend of 10 years, until a physical confrontation caused her to kick me out. She decided that she wanted me to pay my way out of the lease when my grandmother died and my family came into some money. Now I'm being sued the maximum amount in my state in small claims court for back rent. I have witnesses to her kicking me out but no paper trail. What are my chances of winning? What am I looking at here?

Re: Small Claims Court with an ex roommate

Whos is on the lease. Someone must be paying the landlord some rent. You may be responsible for one half of the rent unless you can show that you did something else in lieu of rent.
