USCIS examiners routinely recommend cases for supervisor approval. In the two weeks subsequent to the examination, USCIS and the FBI will perform a local background check to ensure you have not been arrested/convicted of any crimes. Then they will approve your case. However the approval notice is generally issued by one of the Service Center several weeks later. In summation, it takes about a month to get your approval letter/oath ceremony invitation.
