Legal Question in Insurance Law in Ohio

Hello, I bought an old car to fix up to resale or possibly give it to my son if he moved back to Ohio. I did not use this car but I got plates for it. It sat at my brothers house because he is a mechanic. We did some work and got it running pretty well. A friend of mine was having car troubles and she asked to borrow this car for a few days while hers was being repaired. I told her it was not yet insured but she told me her insurance would cover it as her car was out of use. I let her use the car. Her brother used the car the very night she borrowed it and he was drinking and wrecked and totaled the car. She reported this to her insurance and they agreed she was covered. Now I am getting letters from the insurance company of the car that got hit requesting 4000.00 from me. I have responded to each letter with the name of my friend, phone number, and address. The last one was 3 days ago and I sent it certified mail. Today I received a letter from Ohio BMV saying my driver's license would be suppended in 28 days if I don't show proof of insurance. Is this right? What do I do? Should I send my friends insurance company name?

You need to provide the name of her insurance company, policy number, claim number and her an the drivers info to the insurance company that is requesting the 4k. Also, send that info to the BMV immediately.
