is my employer allowed to talk about my credit with other employees?

He can talk to others who have a right to know such as the payroll department. Absent that, this situation can be construed as an invasion of privacy. I would confront him nicely and tell him that you have not given consent and that you would appreciate keeping this information to himself. (Curious, why does he have this information in the first place? Are you being garnished?)
