Overtime Compensation for Non-Management Employee

Am I entitled to compensation for hours worked over 40 and required travel 90% of the calander days, including holidays, out of the country within a non-management position? I worked an average of 75 hours per week and earn a very small base salary with no comm. or bonus.

Re: Overtime Compensation for Non-Management Employee

Generally, when you are a salaried individual, you are not entitled to compensation for overtime. If you are hourly, however, you would be paid for these hours. I am not quite sure what you mean by a very small base salary. I suggest you contact an attorney so that you can discuss the specifics of your situation in terms of your salary.

Referencing your questions regarding travel, generally, while you are travelling, you are entitled (as a salaried employee) to your normal salary. If the travel is for business, the company should make arrangements to pay for the travel expenses including airfare and hotel room. Again, I suggest that you speak with an attorney regarding the specifics of your situation to determine whether you are being compensated properly.
