Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

i took time off to have a baby. i signed a paper letting them know when i could come back to work. they now tell me that i have to be rehired and go through orintation and can not come back to work until i do orientation at a lower pay than i was making before i took off to have m;y baby. can they do this? do I have any rights?
