Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Ohio

Hello, my mom had a tumor removed from her breast, she had chemo after that, and developed from the chemo, very painful nerve damage...her doctor said its definately from the chemo, though rare, it happens. My question is? Did she have more chemo than she needed (it was a small tumor and she had many many weeks of chemo, will get exact info from her) is there anything legally she can do? She has to live with this pain the rest of her life and it isnt fair. Yes we are grateful the cancerous tumor is gone but we believe the chemo was over done.

the bottom line in your case will be finding an expert who will testify that the doctors went outside the normal conventions and ignored customary practices, which directly caused the nerve damage....

if you find him you have the beginning of a case...then you have to convince a jury against their experts....

it can be done...but it is often hard to find that expert....
