Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Adulteress

I recently discovered my husband was having an affair and has been for 7 years. It has been detrimental to my health, as I have lupus,SLE. I have missed 6 weeks of work with severe depression and re-occurring bouts of lupus flair-ups. Can I sue the ''other woman'' for pain & suffering, and mental anguish, possibly other things? I know we do not have an alienation of a marriage law in Ohio, but I have suffered because of this woman. I am currently undergoing a nasty divorce. Even if I can't receive monetary settlements I would like to let our small community know what she did to me. Thanks

Re: Adulteress

I don't believe that any caselaw supports suing the woman - although I do not have the definitive opinion on the subject. However, you could always depose her and call her as a witness at your divorce trial.
