car damage due to rock thrown

my 4 yr old son and a friend were playing outside when a car was struck by a rock.i was billed for 250.00 damages and 125.00 for 3 day car rental the damage was 1 1/2 inch dent in hood should i have to pay all since another child was involved? and should i pay for 3 day rental for such small damage?im not even sure my son threw a rock.should i just allow him to take it to court?also should i ask for another quote?

You should look into contesting his claim. First, what kind of car did he rent that cost $41.00 per day!? He has a duty to mitigate the damages, If he drives a pinto, he can't go out and rent a Cadillac. Also, can he prove that your son threw the rock? And yes, get another quote.
