Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Compensation from accident involving a semi truck

In June of '98 I was injured in an auto accident where a semi truck driver came into my lane on a highway. The driver of the truck admitted fault and was cited. The night of the accident I didn't realize how badly I was injured however the last year has been a major battle with injuries; nerve damage, disc damage, muscle damage and brain damage to cite a few. I have been unable to work or even care for my home and my children. I'm a divorced mom and have had to rely on help from my friends just to go about daily living activities. I am only 26 and the doctors tell me I will be in pain the rest of my life. What I need to know is if it is possible for me to collect more in damages then the minimum insurance allowances ($750K in Ohio for semi's) and if so who do I go after beyond the insurance company...the driver or the trucking company? I appreciate your time..thank you.

Compensation from accident involving a semi truck

The quick answer would be the driving company, but I need to know more about the facts of this case. If you have all of the symptoms that you have described then you need an attorney to help guide you through this and to probably file a lawsuit of some type. DO NOT rely on the insurance company to give you a fair settlement.

I would be happy to talk this through with you and see if we can help.
