Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

Household mold

I had a house built in 2002 and I am discovering mold in several locations. During the winter the humidity in the house is very high and this seems to be when the mold is worse. The contractor took steps to make the house very air tight for heating and cooling purposes but it seems that maybe that is the reason for the high humidity and thus the mold. My children both have asthma which may or may not be related to this problem. My insurance company does not have mold coverage. Is there something that can be done?

Re: Household mold

With the need for more information, of course, there are two avenues to consider here:

1) challenge the insurance company's denial of your claim if the policy language supports coverage; or

2) go after the builder.

My firm has handled both sides of mold cases. Please call me to discuss further.
