Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

My husband and i bought our house and was not told actually it was denied that there was ever an underground pool in our backyard now we have big deep holes through out our yard and csn see some of the siding of the pool. We also get pool magazines in the mail and have found pool supplies in our shed. I would like them to agree to pay to get the pool removed but if not what to i have to do to take them to court? Is it expensive and do we have a good chance at winning? I am concerned for my chidrens safety and need this problem fixed. Please help.

If the former owners do not voluntarily fix the problem, you may have to get an attorney and at least threaten to go to court. The possibility of a suit will give you some bargaining leverage. Your other possibility is to pay for the fix up yourself and then sue for the damages you have incurred. Either way, you should consult with an attorney who can review the paperwork involved in your purchase.
