Lein
i have a defaulted credit card, not in my wifes name the placed a lein on my house. can they do that?

Yes, but the lien attaches only to your interest. If you have a deed by the entireties, the lien is ineffective, however this is unlikely. Tenancy by the entireties was eliminated over 20 years ago.
