Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

moving out early

i was transfered from ohio to flordia for a job and had to move out of my apartment early. the apartment complex i rented from is charging me the next two months rent. i have heard from other people who lease apartments that if i send a letter from my new job stating that i was transfered that i would not have to pay the two months rent. but i am concerned because in my lease there was a policy on breaking the lease. do i owe them the money?

Yes, you owe the rent, particularly, if there is a clause in the lease. The landlord has a duty to mitigate (find another tenant). However, two months appears reasonable.
