Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

I have a neighbor that has a walnut tree in their backyard that fills my backyard with walnuts to where it is dangerous to even try to walk in the yard. Do they have an obligation to clean them up since it is their tree?

Dear Good Neighbor: Consider the walnuts as bounty from heaven. Yes, you have to clean your own yard. Be a good neighbor and enjoy such beautiful bounty. Feed the squirrels in the metropark, they'll appreciate them, and you will have the satisfaction of having done a good deed.

Good luck. Sincerely, J. Norman Stark
