Legal Question in Tax Law in Ohio

Which SS-4 entity type is appropriate for an LLC... ''partnership,'' or ''other?

I have an LLC, which for federal tax purposes, from what I understand, is to be treated as a partnership. This much I know, but when filling out the SS-4, I need to select an entity type. Should I select ''partnership'' even though it is an LLC, or should I select ''other'' and write in ''Limited Liability Company?''

Checking "other" is correct. You should consult with a CPA to determine which tax classification is best for your situation -- you may have several options from which to choose.
