Legal Question in Traffic Law in Ohio

Multiple speeding tickets

I have accumulated three speeding tickets in less than six months in Ohio. I now have six points on my record and received a warning letter from the state. My insurance agent has informed me that there may be possible jail time for so many tickets in such a short period. I received one in mid-August, one on September 20 and another on September 23. I have paid all the tickets in full on time. Am I to be worried that the state will take any more actions against me as stated by my insurance agent?

Re: Multiple speeding tickets

If you were eligible to pay the tickets and you paid the tickets, they are closed. If you were required to appear in Court but sent in the money anyway, you could have a problem.

The insurance agent is correct that the second or greater ticket in one year can be punished by jail. You need to slow down

Also, in Ohio there is a way to get two points removed from your record if you have more than five but less than 12 points. If you take the defensive driving course you can get a two-point credit. It may be worth it for you.
