The most important thing is to get your license by the time you make any plea in court. If so, the prosecutor will amend the charge. YOU DO NOT WANT A DUS ON YOUR RECORD. IT IS HAS MULTIPLE NEGATIVE EFFECTS. Get your license and buy time with the court to allow that.
