Legal Question in Veterans Law in Ohio

VA DIC Benefits

I have been denied a VA claim asking for Service Connected Death Benefits. With the VA telling me that I have no Proof that Radiation was the cause of death due to Leukumia even tho my Husband, Donald spent 20 yrs in Radar Operations while in the Air Force. Is there anything you can do to help me? I have been fighting for this since March of 1995. Thank You.

Re: VA DIC Benefits

It depends where the claim is in the system. If it is at the Board of Veterans Appeals or at the local regional office, you need to contact the Disabled American Veterans, or Paralyzed Veterans of America. Both are very good organizations for assistance with veterans claims. They have offices in major cities such as Columbus, Cleveland and the like. If the claim is at the Court of Veterans Appeals or the Federal Circuit, please get back to me and I can refer you to another source.
