Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio
My aunt passed away in January, we opened up to Probate, and it has now been closed My older brother and I have had the house transferred to our name. There is no Mortgage on the house. If we sell the house do we have to pay old medical bills, now that it is closed. Where does financial responsibility lay? We can not get any offeres for the house that would cover the medical bill.

Generally once an estate is closed there would not be anymore liablity to creditors of the deceased unless there was a lien on the property.
However, I think it is very interesting that you were able to get this house free and clear and that it was not required to be sold to pay the debts. Generally during the probate process assets are sold to take care of the creditors.
I would suggest that you have an attorney review the probate and make sure that all the debts were discharged properly.
