what is an only child entitled to in Ohio when parent is remarried

An only child would be entitled to one-half of the estate after the surviviving spouse receives the first $60,000 of the estate. This would only apply to probate property. It does not apply to items that the parent held as joint with right of surviorship, payable on death or items that have a valid beneficiary designation.
