Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Death in the family with no will but a surviving spouse

My mother just passed away without a will or trust. My father is still alive though. Is he responsible for her medical bills/credit cards? Also, without a will I know her belongings and estate have to go through probate, will everything go to him? I have a sibling who I think is going to try and take my mom's belongins away from my dad, and I just wanted to know about his rights as her spouse.

If they were still married and not under a valid separation agreement, he inherits all the community property, and will be responsible for the debts.
