Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My father died in 2005. I have three sisters. I received a letter from a attorney that he had a claim for personal injury related to a previous employment and their are funds available to distribute to his three daughters. I received a letter of Waiver of Rights to Administer to sign. It says on the waiver. Application of (Then one of my sisters name) for appointment to administer decedent's estate. What does this mean? Am I giving my rights up?
