Guardship of mother

My mother is in custody of court due to her husband just passing away while they were in their Ohio home.I need help in getting custody of my mother. My mother had a stroke 3 Yrs ago.I want to take my mother back to Florida and provide her care. We are both legal residents of Florida. The question is that is my mother compentent. My mother and I do comunicate.She does wish to reside with me.

I believe you mean that your mother is a ward of the state meaning she has had a guardian appointed for her by the probate court because she is incompetent. You need to file an application to be substituted as her guardian in the probate court in the county that the guardianship created.
