How important is the time of death when executing a will? Do assets that "disappear" w/o permission of the executor have to be replaced?

The date of death could be very important when considering if the will is, in fact, valid. If the will has been signed closer to the death, there may be circumstances where its validity could be challenged. Assets of the decedent should not be "disappearing". All assets of the decedent need to be "inventoried" for the probate court. If an asset has been taken without permission, an action can be pursued in the probate court for Concealment of Assets against the one who has taken the assets.
